Today Pepwave announced a new product called the Pepwave Flex AP designed specifically for rugged installations inside or outside the building. What makes the Flex AP unique is it’s the first AP to have built in world-mode 3G or a single LTE radio, which means this can be a stand alone unit for remote camera deployments, monitoring remote control systems and more! Until now the only option was the buy an embedded solution like the Max BR1 then look for a weatherproof enclosure if you wanted to use it outside. The Flex AP offers built in 802.11n 2x2 WiFi that’s software selectable (Optional 5Ghz WiFi support) and dual PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports and cloud management options (InControl) in addition to embedded cellular support too.
