AT&T expands LTE coverage to 13 new markets

Late last week AT&T announced that they’ve launched LTE in another thirteen cities across the U.S. The launch helps them get closer to their goal of covering 270 million POPs by the end of 2013. AT&T customers can expect to find LTE in the following new cities: Tuskegee, Ala.; Bloomington-Normal, Ill.; Decatur, Ill.; Pontiac, Ill.; Lewiston-Auburn, Maine; Hickory, N.C.; Jacksonville, N.C.; Sanford, N.C.; McAlester, Okla.; Adjuntas, Puerto Rico; Gillette, Wyo.; Jackson, Wyo.; and Sheridan, Wyo. AT&T says they've expanded coverage in fifteen additional cities, including Detroit, Cleveland, Houston and Denver. Users in a 4G LTE area should be able to expect 5 to 12Mbps download and 2 to 5 Mbps upload on average with many reporting substantially faster speeds.
