AT&T recently confirmed that the company is very close to launch their VoLTE (Voice over LTE) service. This will give customers higher audio quality voice in locations where AT&T plans to start rolling out VoLTE. The official AT&T announcement said VoLTE will launch on May 23 in select areas in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin and will continue to expand on a market-by-market basis. The only problem with the launch is the only handset that currently supports VoLTE is the Galaxy S4 Mini with more devices to eventually hit the marketplace. Within their original plans they wanted to launch VoLTE, but faced some issues that pushed the official launch back until 2014.
